About Inner Conflicts

Premise - the personality of every adult or child is composed of a group of semi-independent "subselves," which have differing (conflicting) roles, goals, values, and perceptions of the world. One implication is that major relationship "problems" are really conflicts among my subselves + among your subselves + between our groups of subselves.  Common symptoms of internal conflicts are ambivalence, changing or making up my mind, feeling torn or unsure, indecision, procrastination, confusion, and seeing both sides.

2) Jill's
subselves argue

This suggests that solving any major relationship problem permanently requires all people involved to value, identify, and resolve all three of these disputes well enough. That's most likely to happen if each person's inner family is guided by a respected and trusted true Self. Family Project 1 is about freeing the true Self to lead and manage internal disputes. Project 2 invites adults to learn to use seven powerful skills to resolve inner and outer conflicts effectively, and teach their kids how to do the same.
